Autumn Silks

(Jacket - River Island, Trousers - Primark £12, Bag - Zara, Watch - Micheal Kors)

I snatched these primark "silk" trousers up yesturday while on a mission to find a halloween costume, they are definatley not my usual style but I just loved the casual yet chic feel and thought for the price you couldn't go wrong. 

For my first time wearing them, I kept it casual and all the accessories plain and simple leaving all the focus on the trousers. They are literally perfect for a get up, get dressed, get out the door day... and that's exactly what I did. 

The only problem I could say, is they aren't the most flattering on the thigh and stomach area, so be careful if that's a place you like to cover up as I do feel they make everywhere on the top half look a lot bigger than it is!

They are a love/hate piece with many people, but I was just drawn to the fabric, pattern and Autumnal colours... oh and the price tag! Next time I wear them I think it may be some strappy heels and an oversized clutch, we will see!

Feels weird doing a new blog post as I have left it for so long due to no inspiration or motivation to writing one...

I'm so very happy that it's finally Autumn, my favourite time of the year! 

So with this in mind, I'm going to try and blog a lot more...

I didn't really know what to blog as I still need to remember to take pictures of my outfits... oops!

So while I'm sat here in my new onesie, Halloween candle and new cosy slippers I decided to look back at my pictures of the festive season from last year and there I managed to find pictures of my 18th birthday! (the 31st of December... yes new years eve)

This year hasn't been the best year for me, but when I look back to my birthday and my trip to Paris in January to celebrate the big 18, I realised that it was probably the happiest time for me in the whole of 2013.

My parents took me and my two brothers to Paris as it's somewhere I have always wanted to go, it was an amazing holiday filled with site seeing, a lot of eating and of course disneyland! 

I thought these pictures would be a great start to Autumn as they really get me excited for the festive seasons and bring back some good memories! 

Also my 18th birthday was just an amazing time for me, thanks to my mum, family and friends. For that reason I have added a couple of birthday pictures just because they make me happy!

An introduction to me...

An introduction to me...

I haven't plucked up the courage to do this yet, but then I thought what's the point in making a blog about myself and what I wear without introducing myself?

So I took a sneaky picture from my instagram (everyone loves an insta selfie) because I knew that trying to take one I like will be impossible and will only make me a grump!

So yeah... Hi! My name is Verity and I'm from Sheffield, Yorkshire. I've just finished college and I'm not quite sure what I want to do yet, so I'm just working full-time while I figure everything out. I'm only young and just want to find something I'm passionate about and enjoy doing - at the same time as trying to not grow up too fast! 

I love fashion and for many years I have known it's a place I want my career to be around. As for starting a blog - it's just something I have wanted to do for ages ever since I discovered 'Fashion Toast' when I was at school. It's just a cool concept and something I want to be part off.

I LOVE looking at other people's blog's - I follow all the big bloggers but I really want to check some other blogs out too... so if any of you happen to stop by link your blog below so I can check it out!

Ok, so I was planning on posting more regularly but I've been doing nothing but working and not had a moment to breath.

Yesterday was my first day I got up and actually moved before work to run some errands. Yesturday in my eyes was the first day of Autumn, seen as I looked out of my window to a grey, cloudy and very rainy scenery. Most people would be dissapointed but I personally love it, I live for Autumn/Winter so I'm ready and bored of sun!! 

The first thing I thought is that I can eventually wear my new leather jacket that I bought at the start of summer and not once had chance to wear! It was actually a steal from eBay as I had wanted it for ages but was sold out in every single H&M store I could find! I ended up paying £50 more than its original retail price but I was happy with that because the rest were going for double the price!! Crazy.

Also these boots are new from primark and should still be in stores - I'm not a massive primark fan but I've been on a 'spending ban' and really wanted some boots similar to these from Topshop for almost five times the price! So while I'm not trying to spend, these are doing the job. I must say one of the buckle loops did break as soon as I first put one of the boots on - but that's primark for you, you really do get what you pay for. 

Overall I just picked out this outfit as a quick and easy option, also because it's something that would still keep me warm seen as I was in and out all day.

Nervous.... my first proper blog post.
